The Lao government and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) have inked an agreement to strengthen their partnehisp in research and expand IRRI's role in increasing the country's food and nutrition security. The deal, signed Monday in the Lao capital between representatives of Laos and the IRRI, will enable continued smooth conduct of scientific work that will contribute significantly to the development of the country's rice sector, according to the statement by IRRI.
